Spring Barrel Tasting

Come to the Lake Chelan Wine Valley during the weekend of May 15-16 as we roll open our cellar doors and take you behind the scene to our world of winemaking.  Spring Barrel Tasting is your chance to get into our production rooms, taste wines straight from the barrel, and get a look into the head of our winemakers.  It is a special experience and one not to miss.  See you later this spring!

Visitors will be treated to tasting of our premium unreleased wines right from the barrel with winemaker Judy Phelps. Our '09 Petite Verdot and '08 Cabernet Franc will be available to taste right from the barrel. We'll also be tasting an array of our bottled wines in the Tasting Room. Rio Vista Wines, the Winery on the River, will be rockin' and rollin' for Spring Barrel Tasting the weekend of May 17th!   The barrels will rollin' out for tasting and the river will be rockin' on by.  Vertical tastings of Rio Vista's Cabernet Sauvignon will be featured as Wine maker John Little will be 'thiefing' samples of his 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon right from the barrel and pouring samples of the bottled 2007
and 2008 vintages.  See if you can taste how the wine changes with time and age.   Smoked salmon and cheese will be available for a picnic on the grassy verge or at the sandy beach.
