Chelan Nouveau Events
Chelan Nouveau - Spring Release Winery Events
Open Friday - Sunday 1 - 5pm
Live music on Saturday from 2-5 pm. We will be releasing two new vintages during Chelan Nouveau: 2011 Riesling and 2009 Gewurztraminer. Both are German style wines, with only small amounts of residual sugar.
Cairdeas Winery celebrates the grand opening of their NEW location on Hwy 150 and Winesap Avenue during Chelan Nouveau - Spring Release weekends. Taste current wines and new releases, including the fourth vintage of their signature wine, the 2013 Nellie Mae, and a dry, crisp 2013 Cinsault Rose perfect for sipping while enjoying the views of Lake Chelan from Cairdeas' patio.
We will be pouring our new white wine, our 2012 C E Vineyards Chardonnay/Roussanne/Viognier. All of the grapes for our white wine blend are sourced from the Chelan Estate Vineyard and the Stillwater Creek Vineyard. These three varieties all make a distinctive impact on the blend. Viognier aromas, Chardonnay fruit and the broad full texture of Roussanne. White peach and pear aromas, orange zest and citrus fruit, silky texture and a clean, fresh finish. Chardonnay 47% Roussanne 40% Viognier 13%. Bring your picnic and enjoy our spectacular lake and mountain views.
Chelan Nouveau will be the official release of Chelan Ridge Winery's all new estate wines. In addition to our new reds, we will also be releasing our 2012 Chelan Ridge Estate Chardonnay and our 2013 Chelan Ridge Estate Syrah Rose. The tasting room will be open Friday-Sunday from 12-6pm.
C R Sandidge
C R Sandidge will be offering complimentary hot food to those tasting their wines on both Chelan Nouveau weekends. The first weekend will feature locally made brats while the second weekend will showcase beef Burgundy. We will be highlighting our 2012 Sabrina (a barrel fermented Gewurztraminer), 2012 KISS dessert wine and 2011 Devil's Smoke Stack (port) over those two weekends.
Hard Row to Hoe
The tasting room will be open Saturday, April 19 and Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27 from noon to 5pm.
Rosé Release - time to stock up on the new vintage of rosé wine for the summer. Ours is always crisp, dry and sells out quickly. Inspired by the wonderful rosés we tasted in Provence, France.
"Land Ho" release - We really wanted to call it "Port in a Storm" but federal regulations prevent us from using the word 'port' in our labeling. But that did not prevent us from making our interpretation of this delicious port-style dessert wine. Made from a blend of syrah and grape varietals originating in Portugal, this has our own spin on it. We'll be pouring for you to try accompanied with a decadent port-infused Stilton blue cheese.
Shameless Hussy Pinot Grigio - Copper Wine! The copper color comes from overnight skin contact (of the grapes!) during vinification. This process made the aromas from the flesh of the grapes more pronounced, the fruit flavors deeper and the structure more appreciated!

2013 Bocciolo di Rosa - (Estate Syrah Rose) Our off dry bright pink Rose of Syrah is floral and tropical on the nose and palate. Apple blossoms, lilacs and strawberry are showcased on the bouquet, with sweet fruit flavors of melon, strawberry-banana, and cream soda.

Vin du Lac
Join the Vin du Lac winemakers as we release, pair, and taste through three single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and three single-vineyard Cab Francs. Tasting room will be open from 12pm–5pm, April 19-20th & 26-27th. Our Lehmbecker Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Francs come from around the Lake Chelan AVA and Columbia Valley, featuring Antoine Creek Vineyard, Tunnel Hill, Michaela’s Vineyard, and more! Cab Franc has always been a Vin du Lac specialty and Larry believes Washington State is already the best place in the world to make Cabernet Franc.
These wines are very limited production, and were bottled under a special Lehmbecker label. They won’t be sold in the general tasting room, but only through special hour-long tasting sessions available during Chelan Nouveau. These tastings will cost $20 for the general public and offered for free to Vin du Lac wine club members (subject to availability – reservations required.)

This year's Chelan Nouveau releases from WineGirl include our highly sought-after, award winning LIMITED RELEASE Syrah Rosé and our brand spanking new, first-ever release of Sauvignon Blanc.
2013 Syrah Rosé - This rosé from Lake Chelan-grown Syrah grapes never fails to tickle everyone's fancy. Strawberry, rhubarb, and a creamy vanilla nose pair perfectly with the increasing temperatures of spring. This year however, our rosé will only be available for sale to the public during the two weekends of Chelan Nouveau, at which point it will only be available to Wine Club Members.
2013 Sauvignon Blanc - Our first ever shot at a Saurvignon Blanc, this refreshing new white wine has a touch of residual sweetness to balance out the peach stone fruit and lemon zest flavors. And guess what else is new? We've upgraded our tasting room and winery décor and we've got a fresh new coat of paint. Come see the beautiful new upgrades and stay for a glass of wine!
